Nivriti was founded by three women — each with a distinct professional life, each transformed by their encounter with Montessori — who came together to build something rare: a school that truly lives its philosophy.

Each founder arrived at Montessori through a different path. Each stayed because they saw what it did to children.
Anjana Setlur
CO-FOUNDER & LEAD ami certified EDUCATOR
An Information Science & Technology engineer by training, Anjana's path to Montessori was shaped by years of international exposure — in London, Dubai, and Hong Kong — where she witnessed first-hand what an authentic Montessori environment does for children.
She returned to earn her AMI Primary diploma and worked to deepen her pedagogical expertise at Headstart Montessori.
Years later, Anjana along with Rukmini started their own flagship Montessori - Nivriti Montessori.

CO-FOUNDER & LEad ami certified educator
Two decades of work experience across Banks and editorial leadership at Verve magazine. It was watching her son flourish in a Montessori environment that changed everything. She earned her AMI Primary Diploma, taught at Arunodoy Montessori, and brings a rare combination of financial rigour, creative leadership, and a certified Ashtanga & Hatha yoga practice into the school's culture. Rukmini has also completed her AMI Elementary Diploma that allows her to work with children at the Elementary Program.

Mona Thejaswi
CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
A gold medalist from Bangalore University, with business administration training from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Industrial Psychology. Mona comes with twenty plus years of strategic marketing and administrative leadership in real estate. Mona joined as a partner at Nivriti Montessori after seeing, in her own child, the quiet but profound transformation that Montessori makes possible.
She manages marketing and communications at Nivriti Montessori.
